music
In a set of connections that would have James Burke fascinated, this link documents the birth and death of grunge as we know it. For me, giving the musical genre a name is distasteful. Even describing it as a genre is an awful mismanaagement of the anti-establishment scene...The Eagles, Dire Straits and Huey Lewis have a lot to answer for. In yet another connection with grunge, the producer of Nirvana's "In utero", comments cynically on the state of the music scene....dear o dear! The music industry is dying and the sooner the better. When large music companies can no longer control the content and quality of 90% of the music we hear, we can properly reward the bands that most deserve it through word of mouth Internet sales.
